Dr. Yohannes Melkie
Dentist
Dr. Yohannes Melkie was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. He attended the University of Ottawa for 4 years and obtained his degree in Biomedical Science. This was followed by another 4 years at the University of Western Ontario where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After graduation Dr. Melkie moved to Fort Mac and has been practicing here ever since. Dr. Melkie enjoys working with patients in a collaborative manner to ensure their oral health needs are attended to.
Dr. Melkie enjoys taking time away from the clinic to attend various conferences and training sessions in order to stay current and provide his patients with the best quality treatment.
Outside the office Dr. Melkie is an avid sports fan. During his time off you might catch him at an Ottawa Senators, Toronto Raptors or Blue Jays game.
Dr. Cristina Rodrigo
Dentist
Dr. Rodrigo graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical science from Toronto Metropolitan University with the Toronto Metropolitan University Gold Medal. She completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry. During her time at UofT, she was the founder and President of Women in Dentistry.
Following graduation, Dr. Rodrigo practiced in Northern Ontario before moving to Fort McMurray. Among her patients, she is known for her calm demeanor and patience when working with folks who have dental anxiety. Dr. Rodrigo has a passion for providing comprehensive dental care to her patients in a gentle, empathetic, and compassionate manner.
In Dr. Rodrigo’s spare time, she loves spending time painting and taking care of her cats, Sr. Alfie Dum Dum and Mangosteen. She looks forward to meeting you to discuss your oral health care needs.
Dr. Ji Won Choi
Dentist
Dr. Ji Won Choi was born and raised in South Korea. After completing a Bachelor of Science degree in South Korea, she moved to Canada and obtained a Master of Science degree at McGill University in Montreal, QC. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, in 2013. After practicing for four years in BC, she relocated and started a family in Fort McMurray. As a general dentist, she strives to provide comprehensive dental care for patients and help them feel comfortable during their dental treatments.
Dr. Choi is very passionate about dentistry and makes great efforts to continually improve her clinical skills and expand her dental knowledge through continuing dental courses. In her spare time, she enjoys playing badminton and spending quality time with her family.
