How often you are required to visit a dentist will mainly depend on your dental health. Dental health not only depends on the condition of your teeth but also the situation of your gum tissues and supporting bone.
If you have perfect dental health, with no signs of decay, then visiting Stoneycreek Village Dental once in a year may be sufficient.
In the case where you experience any pain, or any sort of dental health issue, then you must visit Stoneycreek Village Dental every four or six months.
Regularly visiting a registered and experienced Dentist allows you to have better dental health due to the regular professional cleaning of your teeth. Regular teeth cleaning at Stoneycreek Village Dental removes the plaque buildup and food debris stuck between your teeth that is usually not removed by regular brushing and flossing. Removal of plaque is important because it stimulates the progress of bacteria that can cause damage to your dental health.
It a common misconception that as long as you are not experiencing any major symptoms of deteriorating oral health, you are not required to see a dentist. Avoiding regular dental health checkup results in plaque buildup that promotes harmful bacteria growth in your mouth. This can eventually lead to serious periodontal issues or gum diseases and even mouth cancer.
Many oral health problems do not exhibit any major symptoms in the initial stages but if left untreated can result in the loosening of teeth and can even become a cause of tooth loss. For instance, a minor cavity is not visible until it turns into a large hole in your teeth.
Alcohol consumption, eating habits, use of certain drugs, lifestyle choices and even aging have an adverse impact on your oral wellbeing. All kinds of common or serious oral health concerns can be identified in their early stages if you visit your dentist regularly.
Stoneycreek Village Dental is here to address all Fort McMurray Dentistry needs. You can call us now or send us an email to book an appointment as per your convenience.
